RECD – Retrofit Emission Control Devices
Retrofitted Emission Control Devices (REC-CDs) are complex devices that are intended to reduce emissions of pollutants from diesel engines and vehicles already in use. These devices comply with the stricter requirements for performance and emissions of pollutants such as BS-VI and CPCB levels. REC-CD devices integrate cutting-edge technology incorporating devices such as Diesel-Particulate Filter (DPF), Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR), and Diesel Oxidation Catalyst (DOC), in order to reduce particulate matter (PM), NOx emissions, Carbon-Monoxide (CO) and Hydrocarbons (HC) from diesel engines. REC-CD devices have multiline usages with respect to a vast majority of industries on diesel powered commercial vehicles, industrial engines, construction machinery, and diesel generators.
As suggested by their name, Retrofit Emission Control Devices (RECDs) are intended to reduce harmful emissions in diesel engines and diesel vehicles that currently comply with existing emissions regulations. RECDs use the latest technology, such as diesel particulate filters (DPF), selective catalytic reduction (SCR), and oxidation catalysts, that are available today.
